2006 C280- ZF Power Steering Pump
Hi all,
I inherited a 2006 C280 4Matic from my grandfather, who passed away last year. It's an expensive car to maintain, but it was his pride and joy so I am fixing it up to honor him.
The power steering pump needed to be replaced per my local mechanic, and I was given the option to order my own parts.
I got an A-Premium pump, #APPSP0568 on their site, but the inlet attachment did not fit (Quick Connect inlet).
They have another part that is a replica of the Bosch / ZF pump, #APPSP0444 on their site, and the inlet attachment looks exactly like my old pump's (Attachment Inlet).
My question is, would a ZF pump really be on a 2006 Merc? I thought they only started using them in the '07 models.
Mechanic wants $650 to order the part which is not feasible for me at the moment.
