Manual transmission kickdown button problem
Hi,
I discovered an issue with this so called kickdown button. I did not even no about this before, just noticed when floored the gas pedal. I know that in manual cars it does not really work as a kickdown button, but I noticed that if I push that button nothing really happens at the moment, but afterwards the car starts to act very strange. If I press the gas pedal it does not starts to accelarate for 2-4 second. If I floor the car for 3 seconds nothing happens the it starts to go as normal. It gets really annoying when shifting as I can not press any gas. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

I tend to doubt it has anything to do with this kickdown button, not on a manual.
Have you checked the codes?
CEL light on? Could be anything from a misfire to a failing MAF.
You don't even list your year and model.
Kickdown button was only on 2001-2002 models.
