Hello

I have an issue shifting gears on a 2007 C230 V6 Sport. It goes into limp mode, so need to turn it off and on again to fix that. Looking for transmission control module/unit, where is that located and how to get codes ?

They put it inside the transmission, part of the conductor plate,
And it's coded to the car so you can't replace it though i saw a guy on ebay
who will sell you one if you send hi your old one.

The TCU is located inside the passenger side footwell, behind the panel where the feet go. I imagine this should apply for MY2007. Pretty accessible. Just peel back the carpet and the panel is right there. I believe it's held in place by 2-3 fasteners. The TCU is clipped into place on the back of the panel.

Did you update the transmission pilot bushing? There are at least 3 versions out there. The old versions have fault o-rings and leak transmission fluid up the wiring into the TCU.

Once you have the passenger foot panel removed, it will be obvious if the wiring is soaked with transmission fluid. Be sure to keep some paper towels or shop rags handy.

I forgot to mention this an automatic transmission. How to replace the TCM/TCU if it is bad, can it be coded for my car ? Sounds fishy, to give it to someone on eBay and they sent something to me.

I already give the car to a local Benz mechanic and they did not find any transmission fluid leaking or would have mentioned this to me. What are the next steps to try here ?
