Here's a question... Stock tires are 225/45 R17, if you get 19x7.5 inch rims with the same offset, you should have no rubbing issues if you use 225/35 R19 tires, right? The 225/35 R19s radius is only 1/10 of an inche larger than the 225/45 R17s and both are the same width. This also translates to a .9% Speedo error (ie: 60mph is really 60.5mph) So why cant you use this size tire? Using the same offset, the tire would be in the same exact spot as the stock tires and therefore should not have any rubbing issues. Am I wrong?

I run a set of 19's on my benz, and i think the setup is 275/35/19 at the read and 245/45/19 at the front. I have to check.

It scrubs a bit every now and then, but not enough to stress about it.

Check this ride out...you think it scrubs....

Oh just so you know this is not my Merc, but damn i love it (looks only) drivability (rediculous)!

I think hes from Melbourne too, i love those D-09s.

Not being a smart **** but the above pic look chop, the reflection from the wheel doesn't look right and looks like it's day time. When you slam a car that low, the front bumper should barely clear the road, but damn that look nice.

Heres are 2 other pics i had, judge for yourself wether its a Photoshop Job or not.

Personally i dont think so. I think he was runnig chopped springs just for a bit of fun with the photo that night, or he has airbags.

Also hes is Definitely in Melbourne.
