Need help with Radio Unit
I have a C200 W203 2004 Kompressor. I need to know whether my radio unit uses analog or fiber optic as I'm looking to install a bluetooth adapter onto it. I haven't tried taking the unit apart to see, but from what I've read online, having the NAV button on my Comand means it uses fiber optic. I have seen an online video showing how to install the adapter, the guy has the NAV button on the unit but looks like it's fiber optic. Are there any other ways of telling without taking it apart?

Every W203 uses a FO network. MY2002-2004 use D2B, while MY2005-2007 use MOST. They are not interchangeable (not without ripping out a whole pile of electronics).
There's a document floating around here somewhere that describes the D2B loop and how it works. Basically the loop is a "ring", and there is a "correct" sequence for adding accessories. As your Bluetooth kit is aftermarket, there is no guarantee it'll work, but there's a decent chance if it's D2B compatible.

I recall a thread on benzworld W203 forum where a guy installed a "Parrot" brand unit that
incorporated with the DB2 and even allowed the use of the buttons on the steering wheel.
Maybe search for that (yeah like 20 year old thread but what the heck). He had complete instructions.
I'd always meant to do it. Maybe I'll do it on #2 coupe.
