SRS
I have got an usual SRS fault that occured after taking my c320 wagon to get what is called a "warrant of Fittness"
that all cars here have to go through, either every 6 months or 12 months depending on the year of manufacture. I knew the battery begining to fail, but I have it on a maintenance charger, which will allow the car to start when it hasn't been used awhile.
I drove in to the vehicle testing station about 30 miles, but the weather was rather dismal, so I had the wipers, heater blower and radio. When I arrived ,by the time It had gone through the inspection the car had been started at least 5 times. I car failed the inspection due to some minor issues in the suppension. After leaving the inspection I drove to a mechical repair shop, with no problems, to book it in for the repairs that need it doing. When driving away the SRS error warning appeared, I put it down to the failing battery and set about replacing the battery and arranging with the workshop to get the error looked at. On picking the car up after the repair they advised that they had cleared the error and 3 others that were stored, after returning for retesting about 3 miles, then headed home after about 5 miles the error reappeared, so I figured it is a bad wire,a loose connection or bad earth. Is there anything else that would cause the problem
