Question for those who have installed Sat. Radio
About to make the jump to the Sirius Sportster (have a gift card to Best Buy). The issue I'm having is with installation. I'm totally helpless with DIY electrical stuff, but I'm worried about 2 installation issues by a pro:
1) Putting everything back together so my console doesn't rattle even more than it does now
2) not doing anything permanent that will be an issue at lease turn-in. I will have it uninstalled at that time, but I don't want to be hit by the dealer for costs of holes drilled into various pieces, etc. Am I better off with a headunit instead of the Sportster below the radio and just replacing the tray at lease turn in?
Any suggestions on how to address this -- particularly #2? I'd prefer a parcel shelf mount, but that may not work without permanent changes. The magnetic ant. seems like it could go on the roof without having to affix anything permanently.
