disabling sunroof motor?
Hey all,
Just curious if there is a simple way to disable the sunroof motor. I don't see there being a specific fuse for the motor itself but one that handles the entire overhead panel.
I'm happy to pull the power to it but I haven't looked at the schematics yet.
My sunroof can be wonky and I'd rather just disable the whole thing from accidentally being opened by a curious passenger, as well as I'd like to use the open all windows from the keyfob trick.

The motor. Gently pop the cover off the center light on panel with the sunroof switch.
Push the 2 tabs together,, one on each side, and lower the panel.
You will see the 2 motors. I forget which one is which. Unplug the one for the sunroof.
Get used to doing this, because if you roll the sun shade all the way back, it may not go forward, so from this point forward
be careful to not roll it all the way back, or you will need to repeat the above procedure, and then use an allen wrench or the
Z shaped tool provided with car when new, if it's still there, and turn it just a little bit towards closing, and then it will go forward
with the motor.

I'm pretty sure it's in the owner's manual too where it describes how to close the sunroof and an emergency using the tool they provided which kind of sucks but will work.
