2012 CLS550 with an M278 engine. Been working on the cold start chain rattle and replaced the right bank cam adjusters, chain tensioner and installed a check valve. On the left bank, the adjusters were good but the tensioner was bad and there was no check valve installed so I fixed these but never touched the cam adjusters or removed the timing chain. Post-work engine start was very rough with the following codes:
- P2610
- P0300
- P0305, P0306, P0307
- P0019
The exhaust cam adjuster seems to be way out of position (about 3 teeth guesstimate).
Figured it was time to pull the cylinder head / valve cover to address this. I have the injectors out and am trying to navigate the wire harness removal and whatever goes with the vacuum pump at the rear of the left bank which is very cramped. Has anyone navigated this maze to be able to get to the rear cylinder head bolts?
