I replaced the tensioner with an INA 551 0187 10. The old tensioner (from a 2023 timing job in Poland) had an aluminium sealing washer fitted.
Before I reinstall it properly, I need to confirm:
• Should the INA tensioner be installed metal‑to‑metal into the tensioner bracket? • Or does this engine variant still require an aluminium sealing washer?
I’ve emailed Mercedes and INA for confirmation, but I’d appreciate input from anyone familiar with the M271 tensioner/bracket revisions.
