"tape stuck" message on display - ipod mod
so this is the third aux input on an Audio 30 deck that I've done in two years. This one worked for about 5 minutes, then I went inside. Came back out and selecting tape gives me a tape stuck message. Literally "tape stuck".
Now what? I don't want to take this sad story of a dash apart again. What a PITA - especiall in my current 2 degree weather.
Any electronic resets, jimmying of this, pull a fuse that or the other tips?
Thanks all!
(merry xmas too!)

There was one member here that had a detailed pdf on this, was able to fix all codes that came up by wiring it a cetain way. I can't remember who it was but you may be able to find it doing a search.

Oooh! That's promising. Anyone remember who this was? I'm about to beat the search function silly, but it's a tough search - please anyone that has this info let me know!
Many thanks!

Yup. No go - I spent the last couple of hours searching and nothing.
AMG4me if you can recall the rough time frame, which of the forum boards and a rough member name I'd love any assistance you can lend.
Cheers.

Pulling the fuse fixes it for a while. Today after about 30 TEL-TAPE-TEL-TAPE button taps (faster than waiting for a timeout) I got it to go. Still not permanent. Any ideas?

tape stuck
I've been using a cassette adapter to listen to my ipod. I was listening to it today during lunch when all of a sudden the tape switched sides then back and then displayed "Tape Stuck" and ejected. I put it back in. Moments later it happened again. I took out the tape and the wheels move fine. I put it back in and decided to listen to the radio. Is there any thing I can do short of getting a new adapter? I ask this because the wire from the tape adapter is hidden behind the radio so it can be split to accomidate the Sat radio in the ashtray and the ipod in the cubby below the radio.
