Audio 10 CD install
Installed my Audio 10 CD yesterday. Thank you for the instructions Session.
It is the newest version ending in 2286 instead of 1786 which most on here have I believe. Not sure what the changes are? Approximately $175 shipped from Germany including all conversion fees. This was prior to the additional 10% slide of the $ against the EURO.
Things I will have to get used to:
1) The RDS setting displaying artist and song title on some of my stations.
2) The soundstage seems to shifted more to the front with neutral settings.
3) Loss of Ambience feature.
4) The bass center frequency is lower and therefore a better tighter bass.
Before anybody asks. I do not have mp3 CDs to try. I also don't have any with Text.
Will have to try it at night to see if the HU night lighting improved over the old HU. The old one seemed to dim when driving through prolonged shadows in conjunction with the headlights turning on: tunnel feature. Even so it was bright enough outside the HU display seemed so dim as to make it difficult to read unless one used the MFD display for a readout.
