Would you do this offer?
My dealer has been designated as a site to conduct a special market testing price and financing event. They say they are in desperate need to acquire several pre-owned 2004 MB C320's by 12/30/04 and that they have been authorized to buy back my current vehicle at above market prices. With factory incentives and high trade in values "they feel confident that you can make the exchange with little or no money down and monthly payment that fit my budget".
I bought the car new (8/04), have about 5600 miles on it. Add on's I have are: integrated V60 phone with voice recog, wood/leather steering wheel, Bi-xenons, Comand, and clear bra (3M).
1st of all do you think the after market mods will detract from the price b/c they weren't originals? And would you go from a 2004 to a 2005 (probably same model, maybe 1 class higher?) The big incentive is I didn't get the AWD on my car which I regret since I'm in Ohio and we just got hammered with about 1-2 ft of snow.
I may just take the car in and see what they would offer but I would appreciate any advice out there on what seems like a good deal (I know I'd probably lose the maintaince program they have, plus I did get the extended service contract, which hopefully they can roll over).
Thanks.

LOL! It's just a way to get you into the dealership. You would loose your *** on a 4 month old car. No dealer needs used cars. They can't unload what they've got except at auction.
Personally, if I ever got a letter like that from a dealer, I'd go to the sales manager and tell them that they just lost any future business from me for thinking I'm an idiot.

:p :p
Well I just got back from going there (I was actually in the area anyway doing some post Xmas shopping) and yeah it was a really big scam. Basically sat down for about 45 min while they went over everything (checked out my car, impressed with the mods by the way and the great condition) and then really lowballed me with a price of $8,000 less than what I paid for the car (not including the tax so really $10,0000 +). They said I could maintain my payments if I give a $10,000 deposit in addition to my trade in for a 4matic 2005 C320. Needless to say I walked out. Only benefit was they felt bad enough that the manager said anytime I need a free car wash just mention his name (will take him up on that since the salt/snow in Cleveland does havoc). But yeah, if any members get this letter don't bother (though I did get 2 free ice creams there while i waited too
