No nothing was really wrong so far. I really overall wasn't happy with the engine noise. Also I am going to be putting alot more mileage on the car and I wanted out of the lease.
Here is some info for you guys though:
I bought my car for 24900. Base model with Tele aid promotion.
I added the wheels and tires for 2200
I added the leather for 1700
I was given 24500 for the car on trade in.
So all in all I didn't get hit too badly.
The MB dealer in Las Vegas offered 21000 for the car saying the leather had no value due to being aftermarket but also didn't hurt the resale.
Fletcher Jones in LV is in fact installing aftermarket leather in their coupes.

Congrats on your new ride Rick. You are keeping your trend going of about 2 new cars a year
. I think you will like the Matrix, it sould be very reliable, although one never knows. Keep us posted.

I build the Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Stratus, ( both just the 2 door models ) and the Misubishi Galant, Eclipse, and Eclipse convertible. Starting in spring 2003, our plant will also build the redesigned Mitsubishi Montero. Funny that they all come off of the same assembly line, isn't it??

We get a pretty significant discount on any Mitsubishi or Chrysler/Dodge product, but they add an extra incentive for the Galant or Eclipse. ( yuck! ) Unfortunately, that doesn't extend to any subsidiaries of Dahmler/Chrysler or I'd have been especially happy to buy a Benz!!!
The cars we build are OK, but deep down they are just plain 'ol cars. I'm not knocking the reliabilty, but I doubt I'd ever choose one of them unless I got a hefty discount. I prefer to turn heads with what I drive!
I think all of us workers at the plant know our jobs well and do the best possible job we can do with what the engineers design and give us. We can't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse, but we do what we can. They still aren't in the same class as a Mercedes, though, and never will be....even though the Spyder runs close to $30,000 and the Stratus/Sebring about $25,000.
