Awaiting a new arrival...
I just realized that the extra miles are what took my coupe the extra couple of weeks to arrive from port. Duh! Oh well, it hasn't exploded on me yet and we're up to 550 miles after nearly 2 months...

This is perhaps your spare car? I drive 550 miles in less than two days!
My CLK55 had exactly 6 miles on the odometer at delivery, by the way. That was 1 year & 1 month, 39,862 miles ago.

Nope, primary car, the spare toy is still being put together after a respray...I travel a lot, so it either sits at the airport garage or in my garage at home awaiting my return. I wish I could drive it more than I do. Not quite as much as you drive, though.

How did you manage that? My dealer wants to take a few days after it arrives to "prep" it.

the sales called me when they were unloading the car
then i told him that i wanted the car now. i also told him to get the car cleaned and prepped quick so that i can have it the same day or he'd lose a customer

oh~ and i actually paid about $650 less than the MSRP because i showed them the quote from carsdirect.com and they matched it! i think this was a pretty good deal since i got the car on march.

11 miles at delivery, 01/14/02, and now about 3850 miles. I drive a company car all week so don't get to drive the coupe nearly as much as I'd like. But when I do drive it, it's great!

over 50 i think. I think it might have been that 1 in 50 that gets tested. Nothing has gone wrong so far.

2 miles - I remember because when I called the insurance company to get it insured, the rep laughed when I answered her question about miles on the car.

Wow, that was almost 19,000 miles ago.

Ours had 11 miles, when we picked it up at the customer delivery center in Sindelfingen. I figured that was 2 or three trips around their test track. Here's a picture of the customer delivery center, with a new car rolling out to a customer every 3 or 4 minutes.

Ok - thanks to those who responded. I finally took delivery of my car, and can add my mileage to the list - only 8 miles.

can there be anything more sweet than watching new cars roll by every 3 to 4 minutes.

Howdy Folks:
79 miles with no disclaimer. Made in Brazil. Currently 5000 miles without a trip to the dealer. Typical slight pull to right. Hopefully, I can sell it after Dec 8 (1 yr commitment not to sell) and possibly swing getting an 03 CLK500.
