C7 tailpipe adjustment?
I have noticed through pics of other people's c-coupes that the chrome C7 tail pipe extention sticks out much more than mine does. I noticed a bolt on the bottom, so I got under there and removed it completely which revealed a slot (for adjustment purposes I would assume). Problem is even with the bolt out, the extention would not budge by hand, then I gave it a few taps with a hammer and still no movement. I stopped just short of disfiguring the metal without a millimeter to show for it. I think it looks better when it is further out, not to mention it would be best to keep exhaust gas as far way as possible from painted bumper cover. Anyone successfully make this adjustment?

Note that exhaust systems grow 1/2" to 3/4" between being cold and hot! All of this length shows at the tip since it is rather unconstrained compared to the engine end of the system.

Good point - however I still want it to move out as far as it will go. Right now it looks like it is set to as short as it can be. It is really tucked in there when cold. It is possible that I am too late to make this adjustment with 6500 miles on the clock, it may have already formed a sort of weld from exhaust heat.
