ASP pulley clearance in Auto C230 2002
Hello,
I have the Brabus pulley installed to my sportcoupe with automatic transmition.
The ASP pulley is larger than de Brabus one. How can it fit? Now I have 2 hydraulic pipes that are very close to the pulley.
Best Regards,
Ruben

What's the diameter of the Brabus pulley? The larger pulleys are about 8 7/8". I think it's just an illusion that it will rub, but you can actually make the pulley about 9" and it won't rub against anything and I know someone with a larger pulley like that. What does rub is the belt against the side of the waterpump. To have a pulley larger than the ASP you need either a different waterpump pulley or a idler pulley that is larger so that it pushes the belt away from the waterpump pulley. Although it's possible to run a 9" pulley, we found that even though you get about 1/2 PSI more boost, the HP required to spin the s/c at that speed is more than the gain, so you end up with a more heat, same HP.

2002 C230 Coupe
I have the ASP pulley on my 2002 C230 Coupe (auto). I don't have a problem with that hydraulic hose coming close at all. The only thing I've had contact with is the belt rubbing against the water pump pulley. It's minor and it "clearances" itself in a few miles.
