the stealers are just that...stealers. they offered me 14k for my 2002 c240, yet on the lot they have a similar 2002 c240 for sale 24k. do they think i'm blind???

what year is that gmc jimmy? my 1998 4-door jimmy just stopped working. i ended up replacing the fuel pump for 1k (first repair ever). other than that, the car runs pretty well with 118k miles on the odo.

Yeah the price they sell has nothing to do with the trade-in price. But it's like that with everything...trade a game into EBGames and get $1 and they price it out at $20 for re-sell. Buy low, sell high, the nature of every business.

1999 Jimmy, with 80K, 4wd (auto 4wd also). It has 97K now (so I put 17K in a year on a non-daily driving vehicle!). I haven't had to put anything major into it, a new battery, new tires, I did a full tranny service when I got her, and a joint of some sort went but it's natural for a truck with close to 100K on her. Other then that, knock on wood, she's been a strong truck. I paid $4K for her, she's valued at $9K according to my insurance company.

The only 2 options the car didn't have was leather + heated seats. I added heated seats but I didn't want leather, so I have cloth. Otherwise, she's loaded.

2006 MB C230, Black on Black
The coupes are f'ugly....

I am so very very sorry I said that, please forgive me as I am a true MB lover. BUT I can not see anything at all that I like about the coupe. I mean the car does not even look like a true MB from the rear. Sorry, but I am glad they are not making or importing those any longer!

That's something I've heard quite a bit. The first time I saw the coupe, in R&T or C&D I fell in love with it. I knew I was going to order it and my GF at the time got all pissed off because she said it was ugly. At the time I had my E and SLK...and honestly, I love the look of the coupe over both of them. I still love the coupe which is why I just dumped over $8K into her this month. It's a love it or hate it design. There is no such a thing as a 'true' MB anyway, over all these years the designs have changed significantly.
