Big Ballers

I realize that this question might offend quite a few people in this forum so if you are offened please feel free to ignore.

Just out of pure curiousity, anyone care to venture a guess as to how much they have put into their rides JUST in mods?

Im at about $150 so far

This is an interesting thread....hahaha

Well lets say, for me...enough to buy another car. Not a crappy car, but a decent one. And, everyone single penny spend on from buying the car and putting mods on the car was my money from working.

I know friends that say they spent like $10,000 + on mods, but those money come from allowances from daddy and mommy...haha. and the car was paid by mommy and daddy too. I have too many spoiled friends.

Had to replace a blown rear tire with 3000 miles on it and still have to replace driver's side rear light assembly as hit and run a**hole made that upgrade necessary.

I hear you buddy. I dont mod all for competing, mostly for fun and like a hobby. It just makes me feel good when i drive a fixed up car. Im not that hardcore when it comes to competing. If i win, whoopie, i win a trophy, if i lose, i lose, no biggie. It just matters that I like it, and when people go attend the show, they enjoy looking at it too.

But honestly, I find myself sick, and other's that have been modding to the extreme. Think about it, $5,000+ for Wheels $5,000+ for bodykit/paint/install, $5,000+ for custom sound system. Thats already $15,000 which doesnt include, exhaust, engine performances, BBK, interior, and other custom stuff ie, widebody and what not. Dude, we are all sick, I could of put all that money on a down payment for my house, haha. but nooo, here comes a kleemann S/C, hahha yeah right.....

Yup I promised I would stop at 30K but I dont know I just kept going. Along the same time I started modding my old A4 cabriolet too(dumped 10K) on that. But after I got my house I just started slowing down and debating every choice, I mean I was at the point of throwing the Kleeman supercharger-but I just snapped myself back to reality. I regret a lot of my choices I've made but I dont think I would ever take anything back-I have learned a lot the last 3 years and made some very good friends along the way

LOL you think you've spent a lot so far....wait till your done w/your ICE!!!

I don't. I don't see where the satisfaction in that is. The work is done by someone else, the parts are designed and built by someone else, and everything is paid for by someone else. So, what are you? What are you hanging your hat on? Not much in my book.

However, I guess its good thing there is guys like this, its keeps Kleeman and Carlson and who knows who else in business designing **** for us lowly C Class owners

About $1300. I installed everything myself though.

Mods to go:
1. Nokia phone kit
2. AMG springs and Shocks
3. 05 clear headlights
4. 8.5 inch rear rims (unless I can get the money for SSR GT3 or AMG 209)
