Here near the 'Republic or Boulder' in Colorado, I don't see any MB's too often, and when I do it's either some CEO or a middle-aged woman with a "Free Tibet" sticker on the back bumper.

But at least there are plenty of tricked-out Audis, VWs & BMWs in my area.

well...

if you are a car enthusiast, so cal is probably the place to be... I see just about everything all the time, especially on weekends, up near Bev Hills, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Malibu, glits and glam. its awesome.

however, my thought is only about 10% of the people driving the BMWs and stuff actually OWN them, i am fairly confident that a lot of ppl just lease so they feel like they are in the IN crowd.... but what do i know!

Massimo_LA,
I live just off of Marine too, further east. Often see dozens of MBs in parking lots.
But something unusual Monday. A 2005 Bentley with 20 inch deep chrome dish rims. Horrible grey green paint.

I see a C55 every day on the 105, and it is not unusual to see several CL 500s and CL600s, as well as S600's. One day stuck in 405 traffic, I counted 77 MB's from 10 to LAX in the almost stopped north bound lanes. 23 were W203 sedans and coupes. There were 20 newer E class.

I often park in Burbank to eat lunch at the Elephant Bar or Islands. There were 4 W203 coupes one day, including an Orion Blue, and my orion blue coupe was still parked at work, would have made 5!

Yup, SoCal is pretty much a "pick your poison" place when it comes to autos.

I work in the entertainment industry, so at work my 2004.5 230k SS is absolutely NOTHING (regardless of how nice it looks ) compared to the cars that are in our executive lot:

BMW 6 Series convertible
Chevy Corvette C5
Ferrari Modena
Ferrari Spyder
Mercedes E55
Mercedes SL 600
Mercedes G500
Mercedes S55
Jaguar XJ Super V8
Porche 911 Turbo
(I'm sure I'm missing others, but these are the one's that I remember)

In the regular lots, well there's a lot of other cool looking cars:

My car and 1 other like it (other one is Silver, but no mods)
SLK 230
BMW 3 Series (too many to count)
Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (2g) with Greddy Intercooler and custom exhaust
Nissan 240 SX (JDM style)

This is where I miss having my JDM style MX-6 because it stood out compared to ALL the cars in every lot, much more than the C Class (ok, maybe not as much as the Ferrari's)...Then again...

I LOVE MY C CLASS!

I was speaking with one of the members of the Cadillac marketing team last week, and to no suprise, all of their vehicles are tested in Calirfornia. If the vehicle and design doesn't make it in CA, they know it won't work anywhere else.
