At this moment I'm planning another trip to the dealer to see whats going on again with the suspension!!!

The car drives side to side in the highway! (not too much but I'm concerned, and I also have 6 months of warranty)

No problem with the tires or steering I allready checked

Can you be more specific about what the dealer does? What's printed on your reciept? I don't understand what tightening your suspension means...

Never heard of tightening the suspension before. Are you saying your car sways during highway driving? You'll have to describe what is happening in a little more detail.

If you are not satisfied with the body roll on cornering on the other hand then I would suggest upgrading the sway bars to the AMGs.

Same thing happened to me in my 2001 C240. Have two years in 2003, just like you, the car would bounce as I drove. After dealing with it, for another year or so, and getting more and more of a headache after driving for more then 30 minutes, I took it to the shop. They informed me that there was nothing wrong. I bought the Mercedes WIS program (one hundred BUCKS) and researched it a great deal because it really, to me, did not seem right. I found that the brushings and front right and left control arms were worn out. For some reason, Mercedes-benz did not spend much time understanding the bottom side of the car like other models they offer. After owning a car for two years, you should not need to replace those things. It cost me almost a grand to get everything fixed, installed, etc. I also, at the time, had a service B completed and replacement of the brake pads and rotors. That also cost me another grand. After that was finished, the car drove like it did from day one when I picked it in late 2000. If I was a car nut and knew more about fixing cars, it would have been about one to two hundred dollars. But cars, are not my thing. I know more about computers and know more about yelling at cars. HAHA

Two weeks later after I got those things done in November 2004, some idiot went through a STOP sign and totaled my car. So now, I'm sitting here with a Mazda3s with Xenon lights and newly installed Sirrus Satellite radio in the drive way and missing the times I had with my Benz. My car-insurance company did not refund me the two thousand dollars I spent for the repairs.

As I typed this, it brought tears to my eyes. haha

I dont know if is the correct word, my english is not the best, so help me guys, when you install, for example, the spare tire in the place of the normal wheel, what we do to the spare tire after putting it on the place, we use the wrench to... ???

I dont know what they do at the dealer, I asked 2 times but the recepcionist dont know what.

All I know is, my father had a w208 and it was the same thing, after coming from the dealer the car looks like that it have a new suspension, also more stiff !!!

NO..
only the wheel

when you place the wheel at its location on the car, where the brakes are, you need to "tighten" the nut screws at the wheel using a wrench to fix the wheel rigth???

"tighten"? I don't know how to explain you guys

Lets supose they install me a all new suspension, thats the same process, without installing anything

All fasteners must be tightened to their factory torque settings. If done right, nothing should become loose to require "re-tightening", especially on a car that is not brand new, on a regular basis and to the extent of affecting the ride. If this keeps happening, your dealer must fix it under warranty and by all means use proper fasteners and torque settings.

If you have the service manual (WIS?), you can get the torque numbers from it, and tighten your suspension to those values yourself, so You KNOW.

As far as the bushings, they are a wear item. Depending on how you drive your car, if it is lowered, and if you've installed aftermarket sways or bushings to a related area, the stock bushing will wear quicker.

Control arm bushing wear out. I mean they really wear out. I replace mine every 6 months, I also drive very agressively and autocross the car.

On a stock car, depending on region and conditions (heat, snow, salt air), bushings could be replaced as frequently as every two years or less.

i had both front control arms replaced. my car then was 3years old with 10,500 miles. each arm costs US$188. said to be a common defective part of C-classes. Knock on wood my front suspension arm bushings are still okay, but they r cheaper at only around US$50each.

my car was bouncing up and down with the stock wheels on, and it seemed to roll side to side. so i replaced my stock 16" wheels with 18"s and it seemed to have minimized the roll a lot.

My car is lowered (low) and there's snow on the ground, otherwised I'd hook you up.

The control arm. Look for a silver cresent arm, that attaches to the chassis a little ways infront of the front wheel. The black rubber is the bushing in question.

Today I taked a look with my mechanics in my fathers company garage and nothing rong with the rubber bushing, control arms, and all tighten up!!!

I went also to MB dealer, and good luck of mine, I found a friend working there for a first time, and he is the CHIEF ENGENIER (he is working at the back in the shop and I never see him before) so we went for a higway test drive, and he also saw that is something rong with my car. After that we went to do a shock absorvers test in a tire center, and all four are OK

I booked for 10/2/05 for MB see better what is rong

Best of luck. In the states, they would have pulled your car in and replaced anything and everything until they thought it was fixed

After all, where is the problem????

I leaved the car yesterday at MB and they tightened up the suspension with the correct torque numbers and searched for bad bushings, but its all OK!
I tooked up the car, without a dealer test drive (they have much work to do,and I leaved the car there without apointment) and then I would contact them if there was any problem...

BUT, THE THAM CAR HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!!

Now they want me to leave the car for 2-3 days at the next apointment ONLY MARCH 14!!!!

I think there is something rong with the steering, maybe the steering shock

It is time for you to find a new dealer. Period.
