The coupe won't make it to the US from what I've heard, but the C350 SS with 6MT will be quite a fun ride. I doubt they could raise the price much from where it is now because there's already a huge gap b/w the 230 and 320.

Sounds like a bump to 270hp...

I wonder how much mine has depreciated since July to trade it in.

MBUSA....Listen up!

Many of us American (and Canadian, no doubt) want the C350 Coupe and the C320CDI models on this side of the pond. I sincerely hope MBUSA is lurking (or at least ghosting) so they get the message.

Here's my order:

C350 Sportcoupe Sport Edition
6speed manual
HK Premium Audio with iPod interface
UHI Phone kit
Heated/Ventilated seat package
Dimmable + remote R/V Mirror
Panorama Roof
Diamond Black exterior
Charcoal/Black Leather
Charcoal Cinnamora trim
AMG rear spoiler
Blacked out EVOLUTION grille

If you can't deliver - I'm keeping my 02 and trading the E for a Porsche

I too hope for the CDI on our shores! My parents have 2 MBs they are thinking of replacing. One will be the E320CDI..we all hope for the C320CDI to be a new addition to the fleet!

Remember BMW is supposed to be bumping there engine's output this year as well. Rumor was that the 25's were going to over 200Hp and the 30's up over 250Hp! I do not recall the exact numbers. But also the new V-6's coming from MB to replace the C230 and C240 engine's currently. The new 2.3 V-6 will have around 200 ponies as well. Do not remember all the other ones powers though. Too lazy to search today.

I think I read that Bimmer's 25 I6 will be about 200-210hp and the 30 I6 will be 260ish I believe.

You'll pay through the nose for the 350sedan. It will be just as overpriced as the C320 sedan is now, perhaps worse.

MB finally gets it right, and then pulls the plug.

they change the engine for 2006 to bump up the sales. otherwise, people would wait for 2007 to get the redesigned C-class with the new engine

I alsways have to laugh a little when I read peoples comments about the C320 being overpriced. For what you get over the C240 and C230, I think it's priced just right.

What about the E and the CLK Class? Will they also change to a 350?

Compared to the C230, its way overpriced. Tell me what else you are getting?

There are many more options that are standard on the C320 compared to the C230. Full electric seats, digital climate control, rear seat fan, rear sunshade, upgraded sound system (Bose in my MY)... to name a few.

Those are pretty much all options on the C230 too.. matter of fact, i dont believe that the digital climate control is available in the US anymore, at all.

The only thing you get over a C230, with a C320 is about 27hp.. Its about 6-7k more money too..

Regardless of the minimal horsepower difference, i would still rather have the kompressor motor. Just wait till people start actually modding these cars..

Yes but you used to get the Power seats, Climate Control, leather, rear sunshade, Bose and moonroof as standard on the C320, I do not believe they are all standard anymore! Where as you stated they are options on the C240 and C230 Sedans. So in the end if you priced up a C320 then a C240 with all the options that are standard on a C320 you would see the price diference is not as much. So in the end you get more power and a bunch of features that are standard on the 320 but pay for options on the 240 and 230.

Edit: I sit corrected, I just priced up a C320 and C240 with the same stuff and it is a $10,000 price diference. The moonroof is no longer standard on the 320, but the seats and stereo upgrade are. So for $10K more you get the engine and the stereo and dual power seats! No longer get the digital CC either. That to me is a rip off!

What did you price exactly? I built (on mbusa) a
- C240, black with full black leather
- 319 (lighting)
- 320 sound
- 324 sunroof
- Heated seats
- Power seat and steering
- Fold down rear seats

MSRP 39,990.

MSRP for C240 4Matic, same options: 40,510.

I paid less than 1K more for a C320 4Matic with all of the above.

C240 = $33370 per MBUSA

C320 = $38670 per MBUSA

Difference = $5300 not accounting for dual power seat and H/K which is not available seperately plus all the other little not mentioned things.

Even going to the C230 SS ($29970) vs C320 SS ($38070) I still don't see a $10000 difference.

Misinformation verboten. Please pass whatever you're smoking.

Sorry I do not know why I typed 10K diff, it is a 5K. It was a long rough day yesterday and I think I compared the C240 Starting price to a loaded C320 total price instead of total to total!

Priced up a C240 just now with Lighting, Sunroof, Entertainment, heated seats, Multicontour driver, power driver and split rear seat and it is $39,410

C320 with Lighting, Sunroof, heated seats, Multicontour Driver, split rear seat, 6 disk, of course the HK is standard as well as the Dual Power Seats and it was $43,560.

So a $4150 price diference for the 3.2L V-6 compared to the 2.4L V-6. That is still a rip off in my mind. Considering the fact that the price diference between a C230 Coupe and a C320 Coupe is $2400!
