Rieger or Wald? Help me decide!

Hey guys, I'm looking to get one of these kits in the summer and I was wondering if you could help me decide which to get. I believe both are relatively inexpensive. The Rieger goes for about 850 US from the factory and I'm not sure about the Wald. (help?)

I did hear that the Rieger has fitment issues but haven't heard about how well the Wald kit fits. Do any of you own one of these kits or know someone who does? If you know/could ask your friend, please tell me anything about how well these kits fit, how practicle they are, and anything else that's relevant. It'd be a great help.

Also, I'm gonna ask you all to vote if you have an opinion about which one you think it better. Thanks a lot.

Btw, I'm not interested yet in BUYING the kit right now, cause I don't have any money yet. Hopefully I'll earn enough over the summer.

Here are some pics of the two kits.

Top is Rieger, bottom is Wald. Both look stunning.

It turns out the Wald bodykit costs 1716 US converting yen to dollars.

According to this site, it costs 176400 yen for the whole kit (anyone know what the adjacent number is).

Neither, save your money. I'm not a big fan of either kit, I don't like how the front skirt looks like a big *** piece of plastic just stuck to the bottom of the car--reminds me of a snow shovel.

Wow...both are obnoxiously low. I say keep researching and make your decision. It would probably help to try and check them out in person as well if you can. Good luck!

Get the Wald (i'm being biassed of course ), mine is replica and fitment is no issue. Rieger is plastic and Wald is fiberglass even the original one, i guess Rieger will be stronger over time. If u getting a rieger kit exclude the rear lip, it's ugly IMO.

If you're set on choosing between these two in terms of looks, go with the WALD.

If you're choosing between these two because of cost savings go with Rieger

If you're choosing between these two because you haven't seen any other kits, look at my thread at the top of this forum. I listed all the body kits that are known to be out at this time (for the sedan and some for the coupe).

I personally don't like either kit very much, but I definitely like the WALD kit better than the Rieger kit. It's a matter of opinion though, so don't let anybody persuade you if you've made your mind up between these two kits (assuming you've seen all the other kits available).

Good luck and Happy Modding!

Thanks everyone for the comments.

I was a bit shocked to see that most disliked the Rieger and somewhat the Wald. But I do agree the Rieger back is horrible. So far, I think Wald would be a good choice but many said that it would be too low.

What do you all think of the Auto Couture kit? It seems pretty nice and no too low. Anyone have anymore info about it? Thanks.

And btw, Drexappeal, I did see your thread about the bodykits and it was pretty helpful. I just wanted to see more pictures since the sites only have a few small ones. Plus I wanted some extra opinions.

No prob. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of it. Auto Couture kit, as far as I know has to be ordered from Japan because I still have not found anybody in the U.S. that can order it, however, there is a Performance Shop in Stanton, CA (Orange County) called Super Autobacs that I know has some importers that they work with.

I'm not sure if you're in the LA/Orange County area, but if you are you might want to check them out.

Here's their website if you want to take a look:

I guess the Rieger doesn't look as nice as I thought. I like how it looked on that black one but it doesn't look as great on the silver cause of the non-sport bumper.

I probably will go Wald or Auto Couture, both about 1700 US. I would love to see more pictures of either one. Anyone have any? PLEASE?!

reiger i think is the way to go... its a whole lot cheap, almost half the price. i got my whole kit with a wing and under spoiler for less then 1k. and atleast reiger is somewhat concidered german (might not be made there but atleast concidered). while wald is japanese.
