*BLOWN SPEAKER* How do you replace the rear speakers (in the rear deck) safely?
Then you will be able to see the backrest lower bolts and the seat belt bolt. Remove these.
Open the trunk and look at the rear shelf cross-member. There are two oval-rectangle shaped covers which you need to unclip to expose the lock clips of the upper section of the backrest.
Be aware that vacuum hoses run into this seat also.
Once dislodged you will be able to see the mushroom retainer clips that hold the rear shelf in place. Ease out carefully with a pronged tool or fine needlenose pliers.
Now remove the C-pillars as they are interlocked into the shelf.
The shelf now slides out and exposes the speaker.
