cloth bra maintenance
1. What should I do when it comes to washing the car? Leave the bra on or take it off?
2. What should I do when it rains? Leave it on or take it off?
3. Is there the possibility of paint damage to the front end (I've been hearing some people say that, though I don't really believe it; they say that dust and dirt gets in then scratches away at the paint)?
Any other advice would be appreciated.
By the way, I did look into getting the 3M clear protection for my car, but most places I looked cost about $350-400 just for the precut material, and I was able to get this for $40. It may not look as good, but the price certainly makes the decision easier.
The steps I've used were to wash the outside, prior to removing the bra. Then lay it on the ground, with the inside surface up. Then the inside is washed, usually with just a water jet from the hose, but sometimes with car wash soap, followed by a thorough rinse.
To dry the bra, I would hang it vertical. To speed the drying and provide additional cleaning, I would use compressed air on the inside.
Then, after the car and the bra are clean and dry, it is reinstalled.
My C320 is my second vehicle with an invisible bra and I don't envision going back, even though I have bought more black bras than most women.
Good luck.
