Talking My C240 pics of Bix and custom dual exhaust

I finally received my bi-xenons this week. I installed them with my dad on Thursday. We didnt take off the front bumper so we had a hard time to fit them in. It took us about 2.5 to get them installed. The car looked so pimp once they were installed. I have to get them programmed.

The dealer by my house refused to do it. One of the service people acted like I stoled them. He asked me for my car's registration, my license and where I bought them. One of the sales rep told me that they have done it. He said that they refused because I look too young.

But I found a little trick on how to get them on without flickering. If you turn on the lights before you start up the car. Start up the car (the lights will go off) shut off the car and restart it again and the lights will stay on. It worked for me about 85% of the time. It buys me time till I'm able to go to another $tealer.

Jan. 31 was my b-day (turned 21) so my dad wanted to do a custom quad exhaust to my car. My dad took my car early in the morning to the muffler shop on Wednesday morning. My dad decided to do the dual instead of quad (He said that it look too cluttered) and asked to have the resonator taken off.. He said that it took about 3.5 hours to do it. The muffler guy had a hard time bending the piping.

So enough of the typing here a some pics.

Thats my next mod. I'm saving money right now for some 19s and springs. So hopefully I should have it before summer.

Damn, you installed the Bix without removing the bumper?? Your dad must be a damn good mechanic or a plasticman . Should get a bigger tip for the muffler, looks much better.

It was not a easy job to put in the Bix without removing the bumper. I bet it would be hassel free if we would of removed the front bumper. Sorry I did not take pics of the process. We were so earger to put them in we stayed up till 3am installing them. What we did to install them we removed the support arm brace (not sure if that the proper name for it i'll take pics of what I mean). My dad and I love doing crazy stuff our cars. It give us some father and son time.

Thank you for everyone's compliments. It give me alot of motivation on modding my car more. My only back track is money (college budget).

Quick question. Does anyone know where I can take my car to program to xenon present here in S. Florida?? I went to a couple of dealers and they refused to do it.

Thanks again.

Unless you don't mind accidentally braking off one of the tabs, you can't...without taking the bumper off it will take longer to do the install, there is a huge risk of braking off one of the tabs, there is quite a risk of scratching the lenses or damaging the bumper/fender...

Wow, i am impressed that you didn't take off the bumper while installing the bi-x.... How did you get the tab with the sprindle on? That musta beeen a *****.... And as for the custom exhaust, you should have had them cut some of your bumper so the tips actually sit higher....looks good.....

As for dealers reprogramming the lights, they actually have to do it.... They can refuse to install the lights for you but its actually a road hazard if they let you leave the facility with out your head lights working properly.....

Thanks!!! but my car can never look as good as yours. We should meet some weekend. My dad ordered the quad tips but he said that it looked to much. So he saw 2 custom tips that look like the cl but smaller

greetingz,
Steve you're right by accident we did brake the top tap which we fixed it. But I dont recommend anyone install the lights without taking the bumper off. As Steve explained yes the bumper was had a few scratches after we were done. I did not mind because I'm going to repaint the hood and the front bumper because of the rock chips from highway driving.

I was not there when they were installing the exhaust. I had to go to school that morning. When ever I have time I'll pass by again to have that adjusted.

The dealer does not want to do the program the car to xenon present because my car did not come with xenons. So all the dealerships that I've been through they have refused.

Later on I'm going to change the tips for a bigger ones not that much and the resonator is off the car sounds so nice!!!

Right now I'm taking my programming test. I have to do a cashier and a payrol program My prof. already caught me. I have 5 points off my test

Thanks again for everyone comments

YoYito,

What I am saying to you is the dealership is letting you leave THEIR facility with a car that does not have functional headlights. That could possibly be a law suite waiting to happen because they let you leave with a car that is not safe to be on the road. Thats all i am basically saying....maybe next time you should play the whole " its not safe for me to leave" and its on your *** if i get into an accident!

I wouldn't take no for an answer. It's not like you have too many options, because eventually you have to get it coded.

Sorry that I misunderstood you. The reason that the dealership does not want to program them is because it was not installed by them. The consider my BIX aftermarket (But it did come from MB in Germany). Which I know is total bullsh*t.

Thanks for the advice. I did not think of that. I'm going to my lawyer today(I have give him my traffic ticket for speeding 45 on a 30) I will consult with him on that.

Thanks again.
