yea i dont work as of yet so that would be my parents money, and its a lease so it would be stupid to put any more money than the bulbs... all i want is the look, if i buy the silverstar bulbs they will be about 50 bucks for hte headlights and then i would have to find hte low beam ugly light bulb replacements prob end up costin another 100 bucks? that seems fine to me all i want is the look... and i was thinking a clarion/gooseneck system for dvd/navi because i could put it in my next car or sell it ... easier, to a more unselective crowd you know?

You can get Silverstars for the blinkers for $40 bucks.

As for the low beam bulbs, you won't have to spend $100. There are a lot of brands that are much less than that and just as affective.

If you go with the clarion/gooseneck system for dvd/nav, just realize that you will loose steering wheel functionality for the stereo. I believe the only "aftermarket" head units that are compatible with the Mercedes steering wheel functionality are a Pioneer head unit and an Alpine head unit. I'm not an expert on those or anything, but if you want more information on those, there have been several threads discussing them on these boards.

some of us did buy our cars new. some of us bought our own cars as well. why come in here and start the finger pointing and name calling?

my C230 coupe cost nearly $37,000 out the door. if i wanted an ML or C sedan i would have bought one. sometimes people buy what they want in order to please themselves and not worry about what others think.

edit: i considered a CLK320 but couldnt see leasing a car when i could purchase one, placing $8k down and owning it in the end.

There are a lot of people in this world who would basically feel like it's a pipe dream to even drive one, let alone own or lease one.

Hurts my head to think that we all can't help each other out with info/tips on our cars.

I have seen pictures of ur car citronic, its hot. Sorry if u took that personally. My car was near 35k itself... leasing seemed reasonable for me at the time, do i regret it? yes definetly regret getting a c class altogether. anyway, i dont want to change the turning signals... only the low beam and headlight bulbs

Well, in essence, aren't the headlight bulb and the low beam the same bulb in the halogen headlight assembly? Obviously, I have the BIX, so I could be wrong. I believe the bulb is a H7 for the low beam/headlight beam.

Now, if you're referring to the parking/city light bulb, that is a 194 bulb. I'm not sure if the High beam differs from the Halogen assembly vs. the BIX, but in the BIX it's a H11? I can't remember. Damn, I'm only 27 and I'm already losing my freakin' mind!...LOL

first of all cuz because i dont have a job now, doesnt mean my parents leased me a car, i paid 7,450 dollars down (including taxes) of my own money.. and covered the first two months myself. Also i paid for the grill, emblem, etc... and my parents are only paying for the past few months because i didnt hear from my last job interview yet, starting feb 20th, ill continue making my own payments thank you very much
