New MB owner has a stupid question
Hey guys,
I just bought a 02 c240 in november w/29,000 miles on it. When I bought the car, the salesman told me that oil changes are covered in the 4yr/50,000 Mb warranty. Is this true, and how do I know when it needs changed? Will there be a diagnostic message, or do I just change it every 3000K miles like I did in my Maxima? Thanks for your help... I will post pictures of my baby later.

Don't change the oil sooner than it has to. The required grade of oil is good for 12-14K miles. You can go through the menus through your steering wheel control and in one of them will tell you when it's time to change. Many dealers will let you bring it in 1K miles before it tells you to.

you will get a warning message in the MFD saying you have either a service A or service B within x amount miles. starts about 1000 miles out. avg is about 10k miles between service A and B.
