Noise made when you hit the gas pedal????

Noise made when you hit the gas pedal????
Guys,

I did a quick search and did not find anything about this. I also don't remember hearing this noise when I got the car two years ago.

When I hit the gas pedal a sound is made exactly as you hit it.....and also when you release the gas. It sounds like a slight buzz...is this sound normal? Is there a part wearing prematurely or something?

Just wondering,

Nobody is hearing this in their c230 coupe?
Not one person can comment on this weird noise...i hope it is normal!?

Maybe its the sound of the supercharger spoolin up?

No..its the same sound that has been discussed b4...It's normal...and at times...when I'm extremely bored driving..find it amusing to trigger on and off

Paul, I see what you may be referring to... These cars are DBW - no linkage between the gas pedal and the throttle. What you are hearing is the sound the throttle actuator makes when opening/closing the throttle.

Guys,

Thanks....I had a feeling that it was normal but was not sure. I don't remember it being so firm a noise when I got the car, but you always hear more when you own and live with the car for a while.

Yup, that's it. I do agree with the poster that it does seem to be louder than when new, but it just may be that only recently Ive actually started to turn the radio down.
