hi.. i am new to the forum.. i know that MB Canada is own the dealer and so I am wondering if the price negotiation work differently compare to other dealer such as BMW?

I know the C230 (2005, Sedan) in Canada is about 9.9% markup. I am just trying to be realistc and see what is the realistic discount I should ask for. In general, in my past buying experience (none Mercedes), I generallly pay about 2% over dealer's invoice cost. Can I use the same guideline?

This is my first Mercedes purchase for my wife, just trying to be realistic on my purchase and get a right mindset before I walk into the dealer.

Also.. any more buying tips?

I am looking at the C230 Sedan w/ automatic and hopefully getting the Xenon and heated seat..

The biggest discount I've read was $2K on a C-class. 10% on a $40K car is $4K, so $2K off isn't that bad.
