new C Coupe check it out It's still alive!!!!
And frankly, what would you rather talk about, that ugly *** W204, and the abomination they are going to make from our glorious CL203, or a cool 20 year old 190 with a crazy *** wing?

but anyway, the EVO II project is still in the wings.
Meaning, I have to get to Europe to do some real searching.
And it's not going to be cheap. The car will not be titled or registered in any US state. It's going to have to be a "show" car of sorts. We'll see how I get around some of the import restrictions.

I've had loaner C class sedans built in Brazil...
in the September 2006 issue of Mercedes-Benz Enthusiast (UK),
there was a short article titled: "BRAZIL BOUND"
"The C-Class Sports Coupe's production is to move from the DaimlerChrysler plant in Sindelfingen to Juiz de Fora in Brazil. Production will begin in the first quarter of 2007 and Sindelfingen will focus on the production of new generation C-Class saloons (sedans)."
As Advans once posted... gotta love the CL203 !

Now if the coupe looked like this, I would TOTALLY consider trading in for this baby. This looks hot.
2006 / 2007 were sold in Canada and ROW...
no Coupes for the USA ! Just like A-Class & B-Class
thanks MBUSA ! you guys suck !

The 1 series coupe will be a runaway success for BMW. Its the size the 3 series should still be, and better styled, and now that the 3 series is over priced, this will slot right in.
MB USA won't admit it, but MB was right about the C Coupe, its something they needed, badly. Too bad they are such snobs as MBUSA. Maybe on the next version, they'll get the details right first time around.

A Coupe isn't the same thing as a hatchback. There is a difference and if Mercedes would have made the car an actual coupe and not a hatchback it might have done better. True many coupes have a liftback, but they don't look like a hatchback with a black glass panel that screams "hatchback".
If the car was so badly needed then why didn't it sell better, at least up to expectations? The car wasn't sporty enough and in general people don't turn to Mercedes in that segment of the market for a sporty small car, they think A4 or now A3 and of course BMW 3 Series.
The BMW 1-Series that is coming here is an actual coupe with a trunk not a hatchback, which will make a huge difference because the truth of the matter is that MBUSA aren't the snobs, the American consumer is. They simply don't want anything remotely hatchbackish. MBUSA tried, Americans didn't want it.
