drove one today. a c220cdi w204, 125kw. quite impressive - torquey and a lott better than the c200 kompressor model I test-drove yesterday. I think I'll buy myself one as soon as the Advanced Agility Control (Sport Agility Control in the states?) comes available in september :P

I'd say once Mercedes gets 50-state certification for their Bluetec system we'll see one in almost all model series, C-Class included. Mercedes is being very cautious with the rollout of the new C to ensure quality. Just watch, for 2009 there will be an AMG version, revised V6s for the C300/C350 and likely a C320 Bluetec too. Speaking of which there is some new spy info, well not totally new, but timely..it was just posted:
