Went to pick the car up today and was told that the shop DID NOT attach the trunk spoiler as they were afraid pulling off the current spoiler would damage the trunks paint job....
Is this plausible - or was my technician just high?
The original spoiler was installed with 3M tape...
Anyone have any feedback concerning spoiler swaps? I wouldn't think it would be any issue, just go slow -- right?

Ive switched different spoilers all attached with 3M tape and zero problems. Only cleaning off the remaining 3m is a pain in the *** but doable.

Took my AMG package trunk spoiler off mine to install a CF one. No issue at all with the paint other than wearing blisters into my fingers taking the residue off. Tech is a puss
the bad news: after 18 days, the shop STILL didn't install the front lip, the trunk/roof spoilers, or de-badged as I asked...so I had to steal my car back after telling the shop I wouldn't come back for a paint job on my step son's huffy...
The good news: tips look fine (to me anyway) and they didn't re-adjust that I know of...
And the spoilers go on tomorrow...

It's easy, take fishing line and start at one end saw back and forth until you are all the way across. Then use 3m general purpose adhesive cleaner for the gummy stuff.
Why are you hiding it ... Just get your windshield tinted .... That's how I have my setup ... Can't even see anyone sitting in the car that's how dark
Jesus DO NOT tint your windshield. Who gives a ***** if you have a dashcam? No one, that's who. They are $50 bucks. The AMG banner is goofy but it's your car so you should just do what you want.
