Invoice price
Anyone know the 2008 Invoice price for the C300 Sports Sedan and C350 Sports Sedan yet? Might be talking numbers with the dealer soon so wanna be prepared. Also I am planning to get a black on black C300 with Multimedia Package/Automatic/AMG rims/rear spoilers and it comes up to around 38ish would it be cheaper to just get a C350 since all I have to add on is the multimedia package since everything else is included. Thanks

Invoice prices for the W204 should be no different, % wise, than the once posted on the W203 forum. Might want to search there. Plus may want to search here to see what people have been getting.

What he means is that the percentage markup for the dealers is the same as the previous-gen car.
(MSRP-Destination charge) x .93 + Destination charge = approx invoice.
Actual dealer cost depends on a further percentage discount called "holdback", which is an amount awarded the dealer after the sale: 2-3%, plus any dealer incentives.
Our soon-to-be-delivered C300 Lux carries an MSRP of $35,075. Dest chg is $775. Thus approximate invoice is (35,075-775) x .93 = 31,900+775 = 32,675, give or take a little. Actual dealer cost will be a bit less, around 31,700-31,900 - but that's pretty academic at this point in the car's life. No dealer is going to be probing those kinds of numbers right now.
This is always a bit of a black art, because of regional advertising charges and other misc stuff that can wind up pumping up the invoice, making a calculation of true dealer cost an approximation at best.
