What would the PCMCIA slot be for in the multimedia package? Can I put in a wireless card and go online with the car?

Generally yes, however you can't do much after, since you need a browser, ftp client or some other software allowing you getting advantages of the Internet. So what you can do, just listen music form PCMCIA drive or view photos, or watch movies.
