MB dealers seem to be hit or miss, i went to the one on Cherry Hill NJ. The sales person there, who actually was a friend of my family, acted like it was the hottest car in the last 10 years. he told me he would only give me $500 off because he knew me, this was the end of October, and believe it or not, he hasn't changed his tune yet. its crazy. not to mention he kept rubbing it in my face, that they wouldn't give me a loaner when i was in for service unless i bought from that dealership. i don't know about the rest of you, when i finally pull the trigger on a deal for a C-class i expect 2000-2500 off msrp period.

I just went to a dealer today. A salesman didn't give any discount on a C350. He said if I bough the car in Southern California, it would me $2,000 to $3,000 over MSRP. 
He also gave me $3,000 lower than KBB trade-in value on my trade-in. He said it's almost impossible to find a C350 in my area now. 
Anyone can recommend me a good dealer in Seattle area. Thanks.

Oh, and people definitely aren't paying more than MSRP in so cal. They are paying less than MSRP.

Since there is only one Seattle dealer, Phil Smart MB, that's easy. They have delivered close to one hundred W204s which are now in short supply. I doubt that any discounts are available. I paid retail.
I think the California story is false because a friend who is a dealer manager told me that California MB sales are way down.

I agree everyone deserves to earn a living but I think you are blaming the wrong people. As consumers, everyone is going to try to get the best price they can, there is nothing wrong with that. If you think that the way the commission system works is unfair then point the finger at the manufactuers or dealers.
Could you shed some light on this btw, I really don't know all the details of how it works. But I understand the lower they sell the car for, the less comission the sales person gets.

Any Vancoverites Paid Less than MSRP?
Just wondering if anyone living in the Greater Vancouver Area, B.C. got any "deal" buying a W204?
All I got is a $600 discount on the PDI/freight and all-weather mats thrown in. BTW, our C350 Sport is being built right now and we expect delivery end of April. It has been a long wait so far.
