As am I. This will be my sixth new MB and none of them were what any sane person would call reliable. My '01 C320 is STILL having problems. The rear window shade won't come up now if the car has been parked tail into the sun. And I am now hearing a tick-tick-tick at low speeds from the area of the transmission. And the easy entry feature is becoming intermittent once again. Of course, compared to the previous cars, this thing is a paragon of reliability.

Luckily, the warranty and now the MB extended warranty is picking up all this crap.
Mine has a lot of problems too... but this belongs to W203 forum.

I called the dealer and informed him of the TPMS issue. His response "Oh yeah, service already has a fix for that, it will take about an hour" Is there a site that list recall items?

This MBUSA technical site lists some bulletins:

Just got back from the dealer and the TPMS works fine. The service manager greeted me this morning and started to explain about a software update that would fix the TPMS issue. Apparently about 5 of the new C class sold by this dealer had a problem with this system. As the manager and I walked around my car he noticed a screw sticking up from the left rear tire.

Removed the screw and plugged the tire and flashed the TPMS system and sent me on my way. I am smiling again; however, I am heading to Portland, OR this week and now have doubts about doing this cross-country trip with a plugged tire.

The tire repair shouldn't be a problem; we had a puncture on our W203 C240 and never had any problems with the repaired tire...assuming the repair was done correctly, which ought to be a safe bet coming from the dealer. In our case, the local Schwab store did the fix for nothing - notwithstanding that I was not a regular customer of theirs, and they aren't even an authorized Conti shop.

As long as the hole was in the tread, there should be no cause for concern.

Les Schwab, boy do I miss that place. I had my tires checked once a month when I was back home. I can't wait to get back there.

I notice it says 110 channels on the brochure ... is that just an aprox number, or does the stereo limit the channels you have access to?

I have a Stilleto player now, and think perhaps I get more channels than that.

LMK please

I'm not sure what I'm seeing is brake dust or not.

Does it appear as a black oily substance that gets on the wheel rim as well as the painted metal fender rearward of the tires?

My car came with bad sparkplugs. They had to replace them at 500 miles.

I also think I have problems with the cd changer. Every morning (or after the car is been off for a long time) when I turn the car on the cd changer goes through all the cds on a "loading disc" process that takes 30 - 40 secs before music starts playing. Is this normal?

I've experienced the same sound while the car is in the parked position. If the steering wheel is turned all the way to full lock.

So far, the only problem I've had is people staring at the car. As far as the Sirius satellite radio, I can tell you that there are over 130 channels available with around 70 of them being commercial free music channels.

Realize that threads like this one will often make problems seem more common than they actually are. To establish problem rates, you also need to know how many people aren't having problems. I do this in my Vehicle Reliability Survey.

That said, this thread could indicate which problems might be especially common.

You might want to check the Electronics or Tech forums for some answers, especially if older models have also had the same problems.

At 5000 miles and 2 months, our C300 Lux continues to be issue-free.

I'm afraid that's just the way MB does Sirius on all its models - I hate it on our W164 ML320CDI. My uncles hates it on his S-Class. I understand their rationale, but my musical tastes aren't confined to just one category. I like a bit of everything! Here's what I've done on our ML (and will do on the C350 when it comes in) - I make sure each of the 10 presets are set to the first channel I like in each particular category. Then I programmed the settings (through the vehicle settings options) to do steering wheel channel changes in channel order, as opposed to preset order. Not a 100% solution, but it helps me and my musical ADD have a little more selection.

As you've noticed, you can get to a category of "all." You can scan through "all". But once you choose something, you're back in category prison.

Hello, MB? No one likes this!!!

Problem with 2008 c350 leaking water

Ya, so I noticed I get about two seperate 3 inch diameter puddles of water under the front part of my car right about at the area under the car where the winshield meets the dash...

the c class shouldn't have any water in its system so I expect that this could only be condensation from the air coniditioning system, right?

It did this still after I turned off the AC and drove around for half an hour too last night...

This morning, sure enough, after min drive to gas station it started dripping water again...

Anybody know what this sounds like??

Loose hose maybe somewhere? where would this water be coming from?

It drips in to 2 evenly spaced apart by 20 inches, puddles under the middle of the car at right about where the meets the glass...

I am about to take it into the dealer!!!! only the 4th day for a new car

Driver's side mirror is working it's way loose. I can watch it vibrate on the freeway, and it rattles when I shut the door.

No biggee, car's in the shop next Tuesday anyway for the 1000mi check up.

That's odd, does your mirror have any scratches? Power mirrors often become loose if something hits it hard.

Nope. It was actually a little loose from day one and it's gotten progressively worse (maybe since they fold each time the doors are locked?). Just didn't post anything about it till now.

I have a problem....

Can someone edit the name of this thread to correct the W024 reference...ie, change it to W204.

No big deal, but now that I have noticed it the "deal" gets bigger with each new post!!
