All Seasons vs Seasonal Tires

I live in north NJ where we sometimes have snow storms. I just ordered a C350 with 18" wheels that I expect in October. I am trying to decide if to buy 18" winter tires or All Seasons tires. Would like to save expense/time of changing tires every season by going with the All Season tires. I have a Dodge Durango SUV that I can use in really bad weather, but my concern is my 40 miles commute to work and getting caught in sudden bad weather in the C350.

How good are 18" All Weather Tires in an MB sport sedan? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

08 c350
I live in CT and can tell you that with such a low profile and wide tire, that all-seasons won't help much. As long as your not trying to drive through snow and the roads are plowed first, you should be ok. I get mine in october as well, just when it's getting ready for snow! Thankfuly i have my truck for the winter...

i live in Vermont right now

there are only about 2-3 weeks TOPS during the year that you really need snow tires.

my neighbor runs his M5 late model all year with summer/all seasons in snow storms!

I have another car for the really bad days but would not think twice about running the 350 all year

I would not want to be on the NY State Thruway (Rt287) in winter riding on summer tires. That is the major section of my daily commute to work.

I am considering 18" performance winter tires (less expensive) or 17" wheel and tire package (expensive, since C350 requires wheel pressure sensors). Not sure which one offers best value for the money.
