C Class $250 Gift Certificate
Maybe you already knew about this... but this may be good for people who are going to purchase the W204 in the next two weeks
http://www.mbusa.com/models/future/cclass/dto/main.do
Basically this is a gift cert for the W204 in amount of $250 good towards mercedes service, or accessories.
I have just submitted it to my dealer.
Hope this helps someone out there

Gift certificate
Turns out it's got a few requirements including financing the car through MB Financial.
* Complete all online program steps by September 15, 2007, to inform your dealer of your Model Year 2008 C-Class vehicle choice and request contact. Only one submission per valid email address/per household will count for this $250 incentive offer.
* Print your online program certificate and bring it to an authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealer.
* Visit an authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealer and lease or purchase a Model Year 2008 C-Class.
*Lease or finance your purchase through Mercedes-Benz Financial.
* Take vehicle delivery from an authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealer no later than November 30, 2007.
* Upon completion of the program, qualified participants will receive a $250 Mercedes-Benz Financial prepaid card, delivered approximately 10 to 12 weeks after vehicle delivery. The $250 Mercedes-Benz Financial prepaid card is redeemable only at authorized U.S. Mercedes-Benz Dealerships or towards a purchase from the Mercedes-Benz Lifestyle Collection.

I don't think the financing through MB financial is required.
You just have to purchase the car... whether its cash, or financing from other company...

What do you have to do to get the gift certificate if you have already built your C-class before?

I got the offer from MB Financial about a month ago. You are required to use MB Financial to purchase or lease your car. I am waiting for the $250 card to show up as I will use it for the first service.

the webpage didn't accept my e-mail, even though I had my address registered for C-class info three weeks ago. I'll probably take a print out to my dealer when I finalize my order on Saturday.

I got a call today from MB USA and was told that since I did not place the order online but through dealership I do not qualify for the gift certificate. I miss the logic of their position. Anyway, I'm happy with my car.

I have received emails and letters from MBUSA on this one as well and it appears that you have to apply through MB Financial to receive it. I will not be applying for an MB Financial Loan so I guess I'm also out of luck.

$250

You think this is bad?
The MB Club of America (I'm a long time member) worked out a deal in 2006 with MBUSA called the Customer Loyalty Program. So, if you purchased a new car in 2006 or 2007 and have been a member of MBCA for one year minimum, after your final deal is made with your dealer, you send your papers in to MBUSA and, in the case of the C-Class, they send you a check for $1500. More expensive models can get up to $2500. AMG models and a few others are excluded.
Except the W204, even though introduced in '07, is excluded.
Customer loyalty, my ***. Look at it yourself at www.mbca.org.
