W204 Advertisements
Saw my first print ad for the W204 over the weekend. It was a full page ad in "Fashion" magazine (published by Tx Monthly). Had a P.Silver 300 Sport with the 18's on it. Looked very nice.
I still have yet to see any other marketing of it though. MBUSA needs to get on this...Infiniti is really pushing the new G with TV spots.
And the ad was pointed out to me by my wife...so no comments on Fashion magazine!

Lots of "New C" commercials during the broadcast of the F1 race this weekend on SpeedTV.
I would hazard a guess that they don't want to push the publicity that much since there aren't a whole lot of units on dealer lots yet. Do MB dealers traditionally do a lot of their business off lot sales or custom order sales?
I know I wouldn't want to start paying for advertising yet if it's just going to result in a lot of angry customers expecting to be able to buy one right away.

Haha, I got a fashion magazine bundled with my GQ this last month...J-Lo on the cover, don't feel bad...
But they put the C class on the back of my road and track for August (also a review in the mag)
I don't really care if they don't advertise, I like the exculsivity

Are you kidding? There were full page ads in the Wall Street Journal 3 days last week. The back cover of Road and Track and I think Automobile, not to mention a bunch of other publications have have ads. There has been a lot of print advertising so far.

No not kidding, that was the first print ad I've seen that wasn't attached to a car mag write-up.

Last month I saw a 3 page ad (spread every other page) in Best Life magazine. A very subtle and conservative ad, each page concentrated on a particular technology.
This morning I saw a great C-class TV commercial on the Today Show, it was about how they spent 7 years developing the C-class and it's durability (for example they had 4 200+ pound men each sitting on the window sill of each open door).
