I've just had a dealer tell me that as of Oct 1 2007 the C Class will no longer be built in Bremen Germany only in South America and therefore he assumed that European Delivery of the 2008 C300 Luxury will not be available. The MBUSA web site is mute on the subject. When I tried to place an order through their interactive site it would not let me pick a date beyond Dec 31 2007 and a pop up window kept saying I needed to pick a date 4 months forward.
BTW I've had 2 other dealers with lots of European delivery experience ready to take my order for an April 2008 Euro delivery.
I'd appreciate any information.

Don't use the website. Just place the order with a dealer....if the local guy is reluctant, pick another, and/or call MBUSA. Yes, some of our cars are going to come from South AFRICA, but not all, and there is absolutely no evidence that the EU delivery of Cs is somehow going to dry up.

Push the issue. I think you've been fed a line of BS...
