2008 C350
a lot depends on the options you want in it...my dealer just called and told me he had a white 350 with P2 available now. i passed since there was no MM.
if you are looking for a 300 without 18 inch rims, MM or leather you can probably find one on a lot somewhere now. if you want the options you'll probably have to order and it is 3 months right now (maybe a week less for you since you are on the east coast)

GAS MILEAGE
So far the odometer accrued a measly 202 miles. Best thing is the high frequency vibration / noise I mentioned before, did not reoccur (yet).
Admitedly, I didn't care much of the gas mileage difference between the C300 and C350 when I decided on the 350, but am still interested in it nontheless. So here's what my daily driving MPG looks like (one way, the leg with most traffic):
Distance : 22 miles
Elapsed Time : 0:42 hours
Avg speed : 31 mph
Max speed : ~90 mph
Indicated MPG : 20.0
This has been the typical daily (for the past 3 days), one-way commute, generally in traffic. The "From Start" trip computer was reset as soon as the engine was started and reading was taken at destination. Driving was with the transmission in "C" mode, never accelarting past 3000 RPM and trying to reduce the stop-and-go. Basically, very conservative (with the exception of the occasional speed bump . Unfortunately most of the measly miles I've driven thus far have been in traffic conditions like the one above. I did see an indicated 27 MPG when driving at a constant 80MPH, flat road.
Anyways, it's far from the break-in mileage, but that's what I've been getting to this point. When I fill the tank, I'm curious how that MPG calculation will come out to be.
But enough about the MPG... i love this car. I can't wait to get up in the morning to get behind the wheel Don't have much time to write about it, but will do so soon.

sorry i missed your question previously (if it was addressed to me). The Cotsco Program at Laguna Niguel got me $500 off MSRP. Reading through the pricing thread, others have fared much better, though, frankly, I'm glad I have the car, even if it had been MSRP.
