I return home with little gas in the tank. I park in my garage and shut off the motor. When I walk around the car I notice that the fuel filler door is open. I thought that the last time I got gas I must have left it open. Yesterday with about nothing but reserve in the tank, I stop at the gas station. I walk around the car and again the fuel filler door is open. So, if very low on fuel and extreme slow speed, pulling up to fuel pump or easing into garage, will it trigger the fuel filler door to open?

I dont think so, but it is funny, I thinking some one is stealing your fuel while you are driving. Lock your doors that will lock the fuel filler door.

That is very funny. I think there is a commercial for some gas company like that....all of the cars that drive by open their feul door...

I guess your car is trying to tell you it is thirsty....just like a little baby it must be fed.
