Just wondering whether the ipod adapter thats located in the glove box is standard or optional?

I have a question about it. I don't have it in any of my vehicles. When you plug your iPod into the connector can you use the steering wheel controls to control the iPod? Does the iPod info show up on the Nav screen? How about on the speedo?
Is this option worth the money?

When you plug in the ipod, you control it using the steering wheel buttons. The info shows up in the speedo screen, but not on the nav screen. It works really well once you learn which buttons to press. The sound is good, not quite CD quality though. I'd say it's worth the money to have your entire CD collection at your fingertips.
