Hey guys, just looking to see if there is any c200 kompressor guys out there.
ive been looking at couple of forums and im trying to find some information on mods for the kompressor engines. Don't worry, im not a newb, i'm on many forums but this would be my first for mercedes, never got the chance to play around with a merc before. My dad just bought one, its a C200 Komp. and im thinking of buying one too. Unfortunately its not offered in the US and i currently am living here till i move back to Dubai. Yes,yes a whole bunch of fancy cars and crap. And mine would be one of the lowest there but thats what i could probably afford, the v6 verson is more expensive, rather put money in mods. I believe the kompressor engines have a lot of potential (i could be wrong). But i can't stay away from modifying stuff, i love it and its a hobby, Ive been modifying cars since i was 16 (minor mods though).
I need to know a couple of things,first
does the new c200k have the same M271 engine (im pretty sure its the same but i need confirmation)?
2) will the kleemann performance kit show any improvement than the previous m271?
3) can anyone confirm that the kleemann header will work on the newer m271?
btw, i currently drive a lexus LS400 v8, i guess ill be going back to ye olde 4 banger like back in the days.
also, please feel free to add or inform the rest of the guys on this forum about any mods or information that you might have on the C200K and C180K.

I wasn't aware that there was a C200K AMG, but you might try the W204 AMG board if there is....otherwise you might try the W203 board for engine mods as well if the new Kompressors also have the engine carried over from the previous model in Europe.

Yah, back home you can get the c200k with the AMG sports package which includes (i think) everything in the sports c300 and c350 u get over here.
AMG package includes metallic pedals, full body kit incl. spoiler, 15mm lower suspension ( i think its the same suspension but lower coil), AMG 17" or opt for 18" (beautiful rims) and i think ,not really sure, better sport seats. Plus regular stuff like brushed aluminum interior and i think single tone. thats all i know form what my dad told me.
btw, i would post in the w203 forums but im afraid they would shout and say "MOVE IT TO w204"

OK, I saw your AMG reference and assumed AMG....you're in the right place...just no takers for the C200K.
Assuming the engine is the same as the W203 K, which I have no idea if it is, I would bet there already are some existing threads on there for engine mods so you could probably search the forum without incurring the wrong forum wrath...
