When are painted side markers coming?

When are painted side markers coming?
I bought some for my CLK from Evosport and they are great. Any ideas when Evosport will be offering them for the W204? Can the side markers even be removed? I'm assuming they can since they light up in the pics.

They can be removed and you could have it shaved (filled in and painted), but that would be expensive. European W204 don't have these lights.
Smoked side markers (the lights just ahead of the front wheel well) would looks nice (and easy and inexpensive to do) on a darker color car, and (if and when available) clear side markers look nice on a lighter color car.
They could be painted in the same body color, but having that painted bump IMO looks odd and not as clean.

there is a Evosport sponsor thread for painted side markers. the list price is $149. I think that's way too pricey. I like my clear ones.

I really dunno why the hell anyone would buy painted sidemarkers for $150.
Just paint your stock side markers for max $20 (some sandpaper, white spray, and clear spray) or get a clear/smoked side marker for $50 off eBay to paint. If you're worried about color matching to MBZ specifications, get some MBZ paint. It'd still cost less than $150 (just a guess).

Do these side markers act as turn signals? Come on with the headlights? By painting them, do they light up anymore (in the car body colour)? Isn't it required by regulations to have them yellow ones in the first place, otherwise they would not be there like the Euro spec cars.

On my red car, the amber side markers don't look too bad. Any Canadians know if they are required in Canada? Maybe we get them because they are required in the US and they ship all cars to North America with these side markers.

Man this still looks kind of weird to me but 10 times better than the orange reflectors. I guess this is the best option next to having a bumper without one for now.
Wow with shipping it cost a bit over 200.00 for me.
