Nav-TV is in Florida but have dealers all over the US and Canada.
. They showed cage popping up the screen and using the back up camera to like drive down this narrow street nearly hitting people and what-not. The C looked great until it got smacked and hit a few times

Great, the 'Hollywood' version comes with a backup camera.

Generally speaking, night vision usually works by either increasing (magnifying) the intensity of the available light, or by increase the range (ir, uv) of light that we normally can't see. Most cameras that have a night vision mode modes, use an IR emitter that illuminates objects within a limited distance. Thermal imaging works on this same principal, using the upper portion of the IR spectrum, but technically thermal imaging is not night vision.

Seen all the time on those LA car chases at night on Cops. And on the S-Class with Night Vision the display is in the speedometer when on.
Maybe yet another delayed offering from MB in North America?

If enough people are interested in the products, we might be able to get good deals, may be a group in Canada and a group in US. Just a thought.
I took a look at the Nav.Tv site and it does not show the camera or associated cabling nor does it mention where the camera might be installed or how the cabling is routed from the trunk lid.
More info needed. Much more, including the price.

Something seems funny with that nav-tv backup camera piece. The service tech at the dealer where I work said you can just put the car on the machine and turn on the backup camera. I have a gut feeling that they are trying to sell a programming box when a $20 tip at the dealer will get you the same thing. Thats why it says the unit memorizes the vehicle VIN.. so we cant all buy one and share it to program all of our cars.
I just saw an ad for one of the big VWs in which the center of the large VW emblem on the trunklid swivels up about 45 deg (in reverse), exposing the camera but covering it when it's not needed.
