Arrow C-350 from 60 to 100mph so fast it unbeliable you loose judgement

I have noticed the car after 60 mph you step on it a little it goes to 100mph at an eye blink. Very scary the beast this little car has under the hood. You tap it a little before you know it your at 100mph. Let the gas pedal go fast or next thing it say 110. Very scary it so fast you cant tell your doing 100mph it feel like 60 . The car at that speed goes into a gear hard to explain. It feel tight the transmission gear like if you stop it will down shift. Hard to explain the feeling. But owners beware if your gonna pass a car dont press it too hard, cause you might hit the car in front before you get the chance to change lanes. This is unbelievable of how fast it pickup speed and give you so much confidence to go over 120 mph without worry. Mercedes has built a the true ultimate machine speed power and handling. One can loose judgment of where you were will you took a glance at the mirror to change lanes. The car in so unreal of the speeds it picks up in a second that it seem dangerous too at the same time.

Only have the lowly 228 hp model, but I can tell you first hand it goes like raped ape from about 80-130 and it comes up quick. Everyone says theres a limiter at 130, I wasn't brave enough to push farther than that, if I would have read about the limiter before the chance to have done it I would have tried. And 130 feels like 90 in this car, it's not scary by any means. I'm also not endorsing an effort to try it, but it is probably smoother than any car I've ever driven at that speed.

This is exactly why I bought a German car this time around. The cars gobble up pavement like its nobody's business. No muss, no fuss, just speed.

I'm going to omit the rest of this and just say that unskilled drivers like this one driving cars they are unfamiliar with at these speeds are the ones I see on the 7AM news several times weekly. Not just killed but obliterated.

Just this AM, a new Golf crossed a centerline on the Interstate penetrating the center barrier, in the rain and over 100mph and hit a Freightliner semi nearly head on. Instantly killed and from the looks of it totalled the tractor.

It's nice to have someone with nothing but great things to say about their car. These forums tend to be plagued with nothing but complainers and modders, so seeing this level of praise is welcomed.

ok, ok i concede the c350 is MARGINALLY faster

c320cdi
0-100km/h 6.9
60-120km/h 6.2

c350
0-100km/h 6.4
60-120km/h 6.0

both versions RWD, Automatic

but you will agree the diesel is FAST.

NO IT'S NOT, and I know, My Audi 3.0TDI is faster than the 320CDI and not even it can compete at higher speeds, petrol wins.

If you're talking about some A5 3.0TDI or bmw 335d than this 2 put the C350 behind, specially the 335d.

your audi is a 04 A6 3.0tdi according to your sig?

165kw/440Nm 6speed auto, 1840kg kerb weight.

factory claim 7.3sec 0-100kmh

i must have missed something here. my maths makes it slower than the c320cdi.

i do concede there is lots of petrol engines that are quicker, however the point i was making was that the 320cdi challenges perceptions about diesel, and specifically it challenges these perceptions in the US, where there is a greater focus on petrol.

all data sourced from the mercedes-benz competitor database, ADVANTAGES ONLINE.

Slower to 0-100km/h because of weigth and MB 7g-tronic, but than Audi is superior like the bmw 530d, and I'm talking of bigger classes, if I talk of bmw 330d it smokes c320cdi by far.
7g-tronic on 320cdi only gives more acceleration, at high speed it gears are too short.

No more talking diesels, c350 is way faster than the c320cdi, dont look only to the numbers, an 270Hp petrol engine is way faster than a 225hp v6 turbo-diesel, beside is torque and good power.

PS: c320cdi top speed is 260km/h audi A6 does 280 like the bmw. (on speedo, not sure if its real!)

Last Friday, I drove 800 miles to Alexandria VA (lots of smokeies on 85n and 95N in Virginia) and then Monday and Tuesday drove the 800 miles back.

I have to say that the C300 was built to be driven at 80 and above. It has the feel of a heavier automobile with lots of control. (In my opinion) its a better highway car than a city car.

I also noticed that at 70 ish, you still have a lot of peddel left.

As to the 130 mph limiter, I thought the limiter was at 155 with a total potential without the limiter of 165mph. The 130 mph figure is thrown about because the H rated tires are rated for 130 mph. I guess in a way H rated tires do limit you.

I think if you remove limiter and floor pedal than you can reach 180mph easily. Somebody compared C with Ferrari and I agree with the comparison.

Don't hate me but the new 350 is just (if any) marginally faster than the outgoing 350 and the old one doesn't even go fast... at least in today's sport sedan standard....
