Age's of C300/C350 Drivers
yea i have finals in 2 weeks. my prof. for tonight's class is a moron and i ahve to teach myself the material anyway...figured I'd be better off not listening to anything he says....he just tends to confuse us all more
Whats with all this financal talk? and to wizzerdo congratz on the car and impressive appartment situation. Me personaly dont see the reason of paying $1200+ on a morgage when you could rent for the same price but not have to worry about storms/floods/house problems. Also (at least in FL) the market right now is up in the air. I rather have the option to move to a new place with out having to sell the old one? Maybe Im just an oddball but thats my 2cents.

i only buy properties that make me money. the last 3 years everything has been too expensive people were going nuts. now is a good time to buy. prices are low and so are interest rates
its only worth 100k if you sell it at 100k market will rebound maybe not in 08 or 09 but eventually
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
My wife and I were driving old paid off Civics while saving for our house, after we bought the house and got settled we decided to buy a nice brand new car.
We went from a 95 Civic to 08 C350, I'm 28 and my wife is 26

I'm 'insisting', for whatever that is worth, that we get a bigger house first. Actually I just want a 3 car garage so I can put an SLK in there!
This housing market is great for buying or upgrading! You may take what seems like a hit on your house when you sell, but if you're moving up in the world then your loss will be more than offset by the reduced price you're paying on your new house, ie. 250K house - 10% = 225K, buy a $500K - 10% = 450K. In this scenario, you're not losing 25K on your house, you're coming out 25K ahead.

I waited much longer than neeeded. Guess that's all I'm willing to say on a forum where IP addresses can be traced back to its writer.
I wantes to buy a luxury car now because we plan on having kids and house with the next 3-4 years and would probably never another opportunity for a good while.
I remember when my wife & I were at the MB dealership the sales person said something about not seeing too many young couple puchasing MB.
A word of advise for people don't listen to your parents when they tell you an economy car like a ford focus.
honda to infiniti to Mercedes
I was 23 when I walked into the MB showroom in San Francisco to order our first car for OSD in 1968 [a 220 4 cyl. sedan in Horizon Blue, with manual trans, manual windows, and power steering as an option - this was the E-class of its day] - in those days, the salespeople hardly knew what to do...though "showing the money" always works.
And I think the W204 seats are great, just like every other MB we've owned.
I agree with the observation that the responses in this thread show why the forum tilts the way it does - most older MB owners don't spend much time on the Internet, though the MBCA online Forums are dominated by people well past 45. The Club attracts an older audience, most of whom have older cars, as well.

In college.
I currently drive a 1996 c36 amg.
c350 being delivered in february.
I'm in school but could not care less for it.
I have a few options on what i want to do.
1- I want to be a producer and have my own recording studio with my brother (20 yrs old). I will probably be going to an audio engineering school to learn all that aswell as learn some graphic design. I have sufficient knowledge already in both, but not enough to start my own thing.
2- 2nd option work for my fathers company and eventually take it over. I can't really complain with that. Ive been working part time here for 5 years and full time this year to make some money while taking college courses at night.
3- I'm in a band. we're recording a full length album with our producer right now. So if we get signed (cross fingers) then that's what we'll do.
either way, im 18 and i work hard. Im driven to earn money by doing things i love.

anyhow, i dont own the W204, i used to have a W203, which is gone now and i'm currently driving a volvo. the W204 owner, which i lurk these boards for, is 56 years old which she got by trading in a '99 S-class.
Hi John, you got me wondering (this is a spinoff of sorts)...I looked at what you listed as specs for your w204 and I didn't see MM pkg. I don't have it either (I'm 39). I wonder how many of the over 40 crowd have the MM pkg and if so, why did you get it? Was it mostly for the navigation or did it just happen to be in the car you picked if you didn't special order? I didn't really think much about it being a necessity in my C, but I wish I had the HK speakers that came with it. Anyone care to comment on this - confirm, deny, refute, etc.?
