How is your C300 4MATIC's gas milage??

Well as I posted earlier in this thread. Mine is at 24mpg on highway with 70mph curse set for 20 mins and this is the best number so far i have seen even at 1600 miles. Typical MPG for from start is around 16mpg(mostly city driving)
As JohnGjolaj1 said I am hoping for better MPG as I drive more.
As JohnGjolaj1 said I am hoping for better MPG as I drive more.

The result? dissapointment.

24mpg at avg speed 70mph for distance 20 mils.
What's up with that???

My C300 4Matic has not done with break in yet. Still 200 more miles to go.
But, still it's close to break-in and should have decent mpg.
Prior to the test, my avg mpg was reporting at about 18mpg. I guess I cannot complain since MB advertised mpg as 17/23 for C300. But, still I would expect more when C350 has max 30+mpg for same test. Maybe it is because of 4Mactic? (heavier, bigger rear differential gear ratio than rear wheel drive C300 and C350)
Will it differ after 1000miles? At 1000mil dealer check up, will they adjust something that helps better gas milage?

I have a ~25 mi commute every weekday, ranges from 55 to 75 mph.
On the way back several times (have had this commute for ~2 weeks now) I have hit 28 mpg! And, my highest: 28.9!!!
Completely stock!

Plus this is an old thread, pre-2.0t
I seem to get about 22/24 city 26/28 highway. I'm not complaining, but, how.
There has to be something inaccurate. Ik it is averaging, but I don't see 25 city as normal for a c300?
It bothers me, I feel like I used to get 22mpg easily. I have almost 100k miles on the car and rarely get 22mpg.
But when I consider that I do have a heavy foot, redline almost once a day and deal with lights and rush hour traffic, 19.9 makes sense.
I laugh when I think about how S65s get 19 highway, but perhaps in my driving conditions it would get 12.
